FIRST BASKET LAB · YOUR PRIVACY
Privacy Notice
Effective September 17, 2026
This notice explains how First Basket Lab handles information when you visit firstbasketlab.com or contact us. We do not currently offer public user accounts, newsletter enrollment, or paid subscriptions. We do not require an email address to browse predictions. Contact submissions and technical services can still involve personal information.
Information you choose to send
The contact form asks for your reply email address and inquiry message. We use them to respond and handle your inquiry, not to enroll you in marketing. Please do not send passwords, payment details, government identifiers, medical information, or other sensitive information.
Messages are sent through our configured email provider to the site's operator. The application does not save inquiry content in its database, but messages and replies can remain in the email accounts and their backups. We keep correspondence as needed to handle inquiries and meet legitimate recordkeeping or legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence, subject to those obligations.
Technical information and security
Our hosting provider, web server, and service providers may process IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs, timestamps, and error or access logs to deliver and secure the site. Log and backup retention depends on the hosting and server configuration. We do not intentionally include contact-message content in application logs or Analytics events.
The contact form uses a short-lived security cookie and one-use token. To limit spam, the database retains counters and keyed hashes of reply email addresses and tokens, not plaintext messages or addresses. Counter windows last up to 24 hours; expired entries are removed when another submission is processed. The owner-only area uses a necessary secure session cookie and server-side authentication records.
Contact-form spam protection
The contact form uses Google's reCAPTCHA v2 security check. It loads only when you choose “Load security check” on that page, not when you browse predictions. Completing the check is required to submit an inquiry. It is separate from optional Analytics and does not enable Analytics or advertising on the contact page.
reCAPTCHA can process your IP address, browser and device information, and interactions with the check, and sets a security cookie called _GRECAPTCHA. Our server sends the resulting verification token to Google to check it before sending mail; it does not send your inquiry text or reply email in that verification request. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. Google may process information outside your country. If you do not wish to load the check, you can continue browsing without submitting the form.
Cookie choices and Google Analytics
We use Cookiebot by Usercentrics to request and remember your cookie choices on public browsing pages. Cookiebot processes consent records and technical information needed to display the banner and record your choice, and stores a necessary CookieConsent cookie. See Cookiebot's privacy policy. You can reject optional cookies and continue using the site. Use Cookie settings to review or withdraw permission at any time. JavaScript and access to Cookiebot are needed to open these controls.
Google Analytics 4 measures use of the Home and Research pages only after you explicitly accept Statistics cookies. We use basic consent mode: the Google Analytics tag does not load before permission, or when permission is refused. Advertising storage, ad personalization, and Google Signals stay disabled in our configuration. Contact and owner pages do not load our Analytics integration.
With permission, Analytics may process usage events, page information, device/browser details, and cookie identifiers under Google's policies. Withdrawing Statistics consent stops further measurement, removes this site's GA cookies and may reload the page; it does not erase data already sent. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Advertising: planned, not currently serving
We plan to use Google AdSense to help support the site. Advertising is currently disabled: the ownership-verification meta tag and ads.txt seller record do not load ads or set advertising cookies. We will review this notice and the consent setup before activating ad delivery.
If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to personalize ads based on those visits, subject to applicable consent and choices. This can involve cookie identifiers, IP addresses, device/browser details and page information.
You can manage Google's personalized advertising through My Ad Center, and find participating providers' opt-out options at AboutAds. These are additional controls, not a replacement for this site's Cookie settings. Non-personalized ads can still involve cookies or personal information for measurement, security or delivery; they are not necessarily tracking-free. See Google's advertising information and Google's partner-site privacy information.
Advertising consent setup is not active yet. Cookiebot currently manages the cookie choices described above; its advertising-partner panel has not been enabled on this site. Accepting Statistics cookies does not grant advertising permission or load ads.
Accessibility, fonts, and email providers
The Home and Research pages can load the UserWay accessibility widget, subject to the consent manager's resource classifications and your choices. Requests to that third-party service can disclose technical request information, and the widget may use preferences or similar browser technologies. See UserWay's privacy notice. It is separate from our optional Analytics loader. Contact and legal pages do not load UserWay.
Some pages load Google Fonts, which makes requests to Google and can disclose technical information such as your IP address. Our configured mail-delivery and mailbox providers process correspondence to deliver and store email. These providers may process information outside your country under their own policies and agreements.
Sharing and your choices
We use information to operate and protect the site and respond to inquiries. We do not sell contact inquiries or use them for targeted advertising. Service providers process information for hosting, email, spam protection, fonts, accessibility, and, when enabled with permission, analytics. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address abuse or protect rights.
You can manage cookies through your browser, although blocking necessary cookies can prevent owner sign-in or contact submissions. Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. Visit our Contact page to make a request. We may need proportionate verification before acting, and applicable exceptions may apply.
Children, security, and updates
The site is intended for adults and we do not knowingly solicit information from children under 18. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information. We use safeguards including HTTPS and access controls, but no system can guarantee complete security. We will update this notice as our features and information practices change.
